What is S.O.M.A’s Managed Printing Services?

A: S.O.M.A’s Printing Services is a full-service maintenance agreement that provides hardware financing, installation, toner (LASER LIFE PROGRAM) and support. Our agreement delivers a predictable monthly payment adjusted annually based on what you actually use.


What's included in my S.O.M.A MPS solution(s)?

A: Your S.O.M.A Printing Services contract may include the following: hardware, hardware installation, preventative maintenance, break/fix service, and our genuine remanufactured print cartridges.


How does S.O.M.A determine a MPS program to your specific needs?

A: S.O.M.A defines your printing solution by product, term length, and estimated number of pages printed monthly.


How does S.O.M.A create a solution?

A: S.O.M.A follows these simple steps 1) Confirm the Printer, 2) Identify your estimated monthly page volume, 3) Choose your contract length (2 to 5 years), 4) Define your accessories, 5) Choose your service level (same day onsite service, next day onsite service)


How does the customer view their usage and account status?

A: Viewing your recent solutions requires a user login and password. Once you are on the MPS service you go to our home page, simply log-in using you dedicated User ID and Password



How does S.O.M.A determine print volumes?

A: We can evaluate your print volume several ways.

• Use Web Jetadmin
• Determine how many reams of paper you use weekly or monthly per device
• Use the Config page as your bench mark of pages and then measure daily, weekly.


How does S.O.M.A know how many pages I'm printing?

A: Rather than monitor the number of pages you print, we monitor the number of print cartridges you procure. Page numbers are defined by measuring cartridge yield and usage. Yield standards are based on 5% coverage for one 8.5x11 page.


What term length are available for S.O.M.A MPS Services?

A: Available term length is 12 months or custom lengths can be purchased for 60-month, 48-month, 36-month and 24-month.


What level of service will the cusomer expect from S.O.M.A’s MPS Service?

Same Day, Four-hour response, standard business hours. Service is available during the coverage window, eight hours per day between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. local time, Monday through Friday excluding all major holidays. An S.O.M.A authorized Technician will arrive to begin hardware maintenance service within four hours after the service request has been logged. For service requests received after 5:00 p.m., response time may be carried over to the next coverage day. All response times vary and are subject to local availability.
